Frequently asked questions about Seabob hire
How much does it cost to hire a Seabob in Sydney?
Seabob F5 SR hire starts from $200 per hour or $1,200 per day, plus a flat $50 delivery fee. Membership tiers reduce rental rates by up to 35% — see our membership tiers for details. All Seabob hires include yacht-side delivery, a safety briefing, and end-of-session collection.
Where does My Marine Club deliver a Seabob?
We deliver Seabobs to vessels anchored or moored anywhere on Sydney Harbour, including Rose Bay, Double Bay, Rushcutters Bay, Watsons Bay, Manly, and Woolloomooloo. Pittwater and Whitsundays delivery is also available. Drop a pin in the MMC app and your crew arrives at your yacht.
Do I need a licence to ride a Seabob?
A valid Australian driver's licence is required to hire a Seabob. The Seabob F5 SR is a recreational watercraft and does not require a separate boat or jetski licence in NSW — but you'll need to add your driver's licence number to your MMC profile before checkout.
How fast does a Seabob go?
The Seabob F5 SR reaches 20 km/h on the surface and dives to 40 m depth. Battery life is approximately 60–90 minutes of continuous use depending on power mode. The vehicle is fully buoyant and rides in three power tiers from gentle cruise to full performance.
What's the difference between a Seabob and a Fliteboard?
A Seabob is an underwater jet-propulsion scooter — you hold it and it pulls you through and under the water. A Fliteboard is an electric hydrofoil board that rises above the water on a wing. Seabob is for diving and surface skimming; Fliteboard is for silent flight above the water. We hire both — see our Seabob vs Fliteboard guide for the detailed comparison.
Can I hire a Seabob with delivery to a yacht in Pittwater or the Whitsundays?
Yes — MMC operates fleet hubs in Sydney Harbour, Pittwater, and the Whitsundays. Select your location at checkout and a local crew member will deliver to your vessel. Whitsunday charter operators can also pre-book Seabobs as part of guest packages.
